This World Congress will address topics that are too often dismissed. The historical oppression of indigenous women and girls in the sex-trade, the intersectional oppressions that shape the prostitution system, the fight against neoliberal patriarchy, the role of sports events in the commodification of women will be among of the many topics discussed by over 40 speakers from all over the world. This World Congress will address the challenges but also the progress and achievements towards equality.
Because the fight for the abolition of the prostitution system is a fight for equality. It is a fight for the abolition of all the sexist, racist and class-based oppressions that push the most marginalised women and girls into the prostitution system.
This World Congress is proudly organised with CAP international and 4 member organisations of the North American continent: CLES - Coordination des Luttes contre l'Exploitation Sexuelle, Vancouver Rape Relief & Women' Shelter, EVA Center, and Breaking Free.
The World Congress will be opened by a World Survivors’ March on Saturday, June 1st (free from registration).
